Over the weekend I had a couple of my sorority sisters come and visit.  Christy and Emily drove down from Nashville and Hollace drove over from Birmingham.  I was really excited to have a girls weekend because those are just needed every now and again to keep yourself sane.

Friday night everyone came in pretty late but that didn't stop us from staying up late chatting and watching RuPaul's Drag Race! :P (great show if you have never watched it)  It was fun getting to catch up with these wonderful women.

Then on Saturday we had a very fun day.  We went to Chow Baby for lunch with Catie (another sorority sister who lives in Athens) and got to catch up with her over great food.  Then we all went to get manicures and pedicures and Coldstone Ice Cream.  All in all it was a fun, relaxing Saturday afternoon.  Then we did a little shopping before heading back to my house to get ready to out to dinner.  Originally we had planned on going to a steak and sushi placed called Strip in Atlantic Station, but it was a 2-2.5 hour wait and we didn't feel like waiting till 10:30 to eat dinner.  So instead we ended up going to Dolce in Atlantic Station and had an amazing dinner.  After dinner we decided to go back to my place to drink some more and play a game called Redneck Life (if you have never played, I recommend buying it - you will have a guaranteed laugh)!  Hollace unfortunately ended up as the biggest redneck with the least amount of teeth leftover at the end of the game, but we still had fun.  Then we just kept on sitting around, drinking, and chatting.

We all slept in quite a bit on Sunday and then we made the must-do trip to IKEA for lunch and 3hours of shopping!

All in all it was an amazing weekend with some of the best friends a girl could ask for.  I am looking forward to going up to Nashville in the next month or so for a visit to Christy's new house!!! :)

About this blog

Like any girl in her 20's it can be a very challenging time...there are many things that come up in your 20's that you have no control over and at times it is extremely difficult to stay positive. For myself, I have graduated from college, started a job, been laid off from a job, been unemployed for 6+ months, started a new job, had a couple relationships, and let friendships fizzle away as well as have new ones blossom. Throughout all of this my main focus has been to try and stay positive that what happens in my life happens for a reason. I am slowly learning to take the bad with the good and the good with the bad.
