So this weekend I moved into a place that I can finally call my own because I am the one paying the mortgage!!!

At the end of July I (with the help of my parents) purchased a foreclosure townhouse - 3 bedroom/ 2.5 bathroom.  It is an a great location as it is located not far from great shopping, food, social activities, and a brand new running trail.  I have put a couple renovations into the place already - had brand new carpet installed.  Bought a new washer/dryer, fridge, and stove.

Well yesterday the movers came and moved all of my furniture and belongings to the new place and it was so relaxing to sleep in my own bed for the first time in a very long time!

But with all good things, must come some downsides.  I had been talking to a friend from college about moving in and she agreed and seemed genuinely excited about it.  Well I asked her today how she was doing and when she thought she might be able to move in and she informed me that she and her parents felt it was too expensive and that she wouldn't be moving in.  Well now I am in a bit of a pickle, because I have to have a roommate in order to still have a social life and afford rent.

Here is to hoping that I can find 1-2 new roommates by September 1st! :)

About this blog

Like any girl in her 20's it can be a very challenging time...there are many things that come up in your 20's that you have no control over and at times it is extremely difficult to stay positive. For myself, I have graduated from college, started a job, been laid off from a job, been unemployed for 6+ months, started a new job, had a couple relationships, and let friendships fizzle away as well as have new ones blossom. Throughout all of this my main focus has been to try and stay positive that what happens in my life happens for a reason. I am slowly learning to take the bad with the good and the good with the bad.
